Over recent years, hyaluronic acid has emerged as
the miracle compound for filling in wrinkles.

Hyaluronic acid is a normal physiological
constituent of skin which maintains local moisture
content and is gradually reabsorbed with time.


Juvederm Ultra Plus is a hyaluronic acid in the form of viscoelastic gel, which is transparent
and homo-geneous and which has some major benefits:

  • It is of non-animal origin * It does not require any prior test
  • The molecule is highly bio-compatible

Juvederm Ultra Plus is presented in the form of a pre-filled syringe, containing a
viscoelastic, transparent hyaluronic acid gel. The treatment process takes
approximately 30 minutes.

Juvederm is injected directly into the skin using a fine needle to minimize potential discomfort;
however, it is possible to numb the treatent area to further minimize soreness or tenerness.
The smooth gel also aids to minimize discomfort during the injection period.

Redness, swelling, and pain at the injection site may develop after treatment and
will generally disappear spontaneously within 72 hours.

Juvederm should not be used under these circumstances:

  • Known hypersensitivity to hyaluronic acid
  • Diseases affecting the immune system
  • Pregnant or breast-feeding women
  • You should avoid exposing yourself to high temperatures (severe cold or
    saunas, UV or sunlight) during the days following the injection.


You will see an immediate improvement in the treatment areas.
Most patients need one treatment to achieve optimal wrinkle smoothing, and the results last
up to 6 months or more. However, results may vary and correction is temporary. Supplemental
"touch-up" treatments may be required to achieve and maintain optimal results.
